You know you’re eating authentic tamales even before you unwrap them thanks to the aroma steaming from within. Open up to get to the delicious insides, but be careful: you may just end up ordering more than you thought!
Come for the carne asada tortas and stay for our extended menu of Mexican food. We serve our dishes with freshly cooked rice and deliciously flavorful beans, so that every plate is packed with authentic Mexican food.
The best pupusas reveal their flavors in every bite, from the melting, gooey cheese to the flavorful stuffing. The same goes for all Salvadoran food. Every bite matters, which is why we put the same care into every single ingredient.

We ended up eating here , after my brother soccer game in Bakersfield . They have homemade tortillas , menudo was soo good ! Enjoyed it . Will come back !
Ah, pupusas, El Salvador's bit of heavenly goodness shared with the world. This literal hole in the wall restaurant in a swap meet style location is a diamond in the rough with great pupusas.
Lacks a little ambiance but more than makes up for it with their food. On an Rv trip and found little restaurant only 3 miles from the RV park. Glad we stopped.
This hidden Gem in Bakersfield's Los Amigos Swap meet building is the go to place for delicious & authentic Mexican and El Salvadoran food !!! The combination plates are well served and reasonably priced. The carne asada Tortas and burritos are to die for :) The Salvadoran pupusas are delicious and come with all the traditional toppings. I highly recommend and promise you will be back for more !!!!!
I am sitting in the restaurant as I write this review. This place doesn't look like much, but you will be impressed by their food. This is my third time here in less than a month. Our first visit we happened to order fried yucca with chicharones: it was the best my wife and I have ever had in the US. We ordered the same thing on our second visit and it wasn't as delicious as our first visit, but it was still pretty good. I came in tonight, hoping to repeat my first experience here. We have also enjoyed the fajitas and the pupusas. I think their pupusas are amongst the best in Bakersfield. I ordered two of those for dinner tonight (and it's likely I will have one leftover for lunch tomorrow.)
This place is worth the visit.
